So about six weeks ago my BFB texted me(and the girls) and asked if we'd all like to join her in the Susan G Komen race for the cure 5k in salt lake. Since one of my goals this year is to get in shape I was super excited for this challenge.
I enlisted my sister in law, Alesha, and her treadmill, and we got to work. We trained for 6 weeks, 4 days a week, 4 miles a day. All together I ran about 96 miles before the 5k.
That's a lot of miles.
Want to know how much weight I lost??
Zero pounds.
Seriously.
ZERO.
How sucktastic is that???
The last week of training before the 5K was the worst. I had a horrible cold and could barely breathe let alone run AND breathe. I was convinced I was going to end up walking the whole thing (which would have been fine but not what I was training for.)
But being there totally motivated me and my ipod was playing some awesome songs! I put it on random and I swear it played everything I needed. I wont lie and say I ran every step but I ran over 2 miles of the 3 mile run. My time was just over 43 minutes.
But I'm not stopping there. I'm working on getting together a team for this run!

That's awesome, congrats! Having never done a 5K, I definitely think you've accomplished something wonderful. :)
You are awesome, congrats! I am so proud of you guys. I need to get into shape, bad! It's just so hard to get motivated. Even though you didn't lose any weight, I'm sure your body shows a difference. A runners body is fantastic!
