Together Again...

Officials with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced this evening that Church President Gordon B. Hinckley has passed away.
He passed away at his home about 7 o'clock this evening with his family at his side. President Hinckley was 97 years old. He was the 15th president of the Church.
Born in Salt Lake City on June 23, 1910; he graduated from the University of Utah and served a mission to Great Britain. After he returned, he embarked on a lifetime of service for the Church.
He was employed as the executive secretary of the Church Radio, Publicity, and Literature committee, before he was called to be an Apostle in 1961.
He was later called to serve as a counselor to President Kimball, President Benson and President Hunter.
Since becoming Church President on Mar. 12, 1995, he has directed the most intense temple building program in the history of the Church in an effort to extend temple blessings to more members.
He has exhibited vitality and energy as he has traveled about the world meeting and speaking to members of the Church.
Through television interviews and national press publications, he has increased media attention and improved the public image of the Church. He has counseled Church members to fellowship new converts, befriend members of other faiths, live exemplary lives, and avoid the evils of the world.

He has been, by far, My most beloved church leader. He was such an amazing example to everyone. My only regret is that I did not have a chance to see him speak in person. At least he is with his lovely wife again. My desire to get active and be sealed in the temple is becoming stronger everyday. With each person that passes I am grateful for the gospel and the chance to be a family forever and not just til death do us part. Me and Britt, who is getting engaged anyday, have decided that if either of us gets sealed we want to be there for the other one. Ditto for Jaci who is already endowed. (sorry jules theres just no way for me to be ready for you although i would LOVE to be there) I'm hoping that my desire to raise my children in the church will overcome my general laziness and dislike of relief society. :) Wish me luck.

And on a Happier note! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my good friend Dusty, who turns 26 today! We are going out on Thursday to have a good time! Sure do love ya dooby!
And ALSO... Madison rolled over today!!! From back to tummy! YAY MADISON! She naturally did this about 5 minutes after I had to leave and naturally Tracy didnt tell me until just barely!!! Anyways YAY!

Happy Birthday!

So I know this blog is a few days late in coming but I've had a lot on my mind lately. Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACI!!! 29 WOOO!!!
To celebrate we went to dinner at Chili's and then went to see 27 dresses and then to ice cream at Leatherby's! It was definitely a good night with Tracy staying home with our girls while I went out and partied! I told him I was going to get "drunk" on cokes because I was having a stressful morning and needed a drink. And naturaly I did. I think I had 4.. or maybe 5. I lost count of how many times my waitress brought me a refill at chili's. But I didnt have any at the movie theater! It was a fun night I thought. I forgot how good ice cream at leatherby's is! I didnt want to stop eating it! Sadly it was just me, Jaci and Felicity at Leatherby's as everyone else had to make it home. Still a good time though. They offered me 10 bucks to get on the table and sing Benny and the Jets (a scene from the movie) and I would have if some high school girl hadn't been hogging the Juke box! Oh good times. Now for my favorite part of the post.. PICTURES!! YAY!

Kelcy sleeps in the funniest positions as I've mentioned before...

She also thought it would be hilarious to use a whole bottle of my favorite scent of shower gel as shampoo. I didnt mind except washing it out. I dont know if you can tell how totally matted to her head it is.

Kelcy's latest obsession is Harry Potter. This is how intense she gets when she watches him. We have to watch one of our Harry Potter movies EVERYDAY ALL DAY. She LOVES HIM. Lucky for us by telling her tha Harry Potter is big and uses the potty she's been making significant progress on the potty training!!

Kelcy helping mama make brownies

Cutest picture ever!

Kelcy is a copycat

She has to do everything Madison does, so if Madison does Tummy Time, so does Kelcy. I love my girls they are adorable.

Jobby Job

Yep thats right. I had to get a job. :( Tracy is just not quite ready for the army yet and while I know that its only for a few months it still sucks. But as Tracy said he doesnt feel bad about making sacrifices for the army because he knows I'm willing to sacrifice for him. The job that I found is perfect for our situation right now luckily. Its at H & R Block for the tax season, possibly until May. I told Tracy he has to be ready by the end of March just to make sure. It is literally two minutes from my house which means if I absolutely had to I could walk to work in 15 minutes. But like I want to walk in freezing utah winter temperatures!! It doesnt pay much but its just enough that Tracy was able to go part time at his job (34 hours a week is hardly part time but whatever!) and still be home to watch the girls in the day when I'm working, which means no day care! It also means I can come home on my lunch break and nurse Madison, which is a bonus for me and her! Its such a blessing that this job came along. I hate job hunting and I hated the idea of getting a higher paying job that was farther away. A job far away means more gas money and less time with my family and that just cancels out any monetary benefit. My boss(es) are wonderful and so far I really like everyone in the office, however as it was my first day that could change, but I doubt it will.

On a very very sober note, my very best friend in the whole world (BFB) lost her father today very unexpectedly. To anyone who knows her, or knows of her, please keep her and her family in your prayers. Mike was an awesome guy and he and his wife RaDene took me in when I had no where else to go. I will forever be in debt to them and can not put into words how much this loss is affecting me. I know that my grief is in no way close to what they are feeling but I hope they find the comfort that they need right now.

2008... BETTER BE GREAT!!

I decided thats my motto for this year... BETTER BE GREAT. And it can apply to sooo many things. I've never been one to really keep resolutions but I love making them. I think of the new year as a way to reflect on previous years and try to change things that you are unhappy with. I've decided to write my resolutions here on my blog and try to keep everyone posted on them and maybe it will help me stay motivated. Ready?? HAHa

1- Get toned! I dont even care if I lose weight so long as I look more fit and have less flab and cellulite. Most likely in the process of getting toned I will lose weight (hopefully 20-30 lbs) I'm not out of the acceptable weight range for my height but I definitely dont feel fit.

2- Preschool with Kelcy! My daughter is sooo smart that I definitely want to take the time every day to help her learn even more.

3- Write!! At least 20 minutes a day. The only way I'm ever going to finish my stupid book is if I write it! :)

4- Take a class! Even if its just through the community education courses. I'm thinking ballroom dance would be fun...

5- Work on learning French and Italian with Jaci so one day, when I go to Europe, I can communicate not like a tourist. :)

6- Cook more and experiment more with food. I tend to always make the same things and I know it gets boring so if anyone has good recipes that are easy please send them to me!!!

7- Save money and get out of debt!! Self explanatory

8- Try not to fixate so much on the negative aspects of myself and instead find more positive things about me. (ie) achieve self actualization LOL

9- Take more pictures

10- Work on my marriage. Not that its in trouble or anything I just want a GREAT marriage. This is going to require me being a lot less stubborn but thats ok.

Thats all I can think of right now but Iknow as the year progresses I will think of more.
