50th post!!

Its a milestone for me. I know that I wasn't sure if I'd even like this blogging thing but its such a great release for me. And I love finding new and interesting blogs to read. I am always so happy when I come across cute families that share similar values. I noticed my site meter is slowly creeping higher. If there are any random people out there that stumble across my blog and like what you read feel free to leave a comment. I love hearing from readers... thanks Jaci and Jules! HAHA!! So I was reflecting today. In less than two weeks I'm going to be 26.. I dont know why that seems so much older than 25. I think its the fact that I will be married for 6 years this June, will have been with my husband for 10 years this May. My oldest daughter will be 3 in a few weeks and my youngest will be 1 in September. Some of my goals for this year I know I wont accomplish, but I think I'll accomplish a few new ones. So heres to 50 more posts. Cheers!

Missing you

So the other day at Block my coworker Heather and I were talking about people we miss from previous jobs. I told her I only missed a few from my most recent job but when we started talking about it I realized I missed more than I had originally thought. So here they are.. In no particular order :)
1- Jaci. Seriously miss chatting with you in your office everyday and making runs to the gas station.
2-Jules. I miss lunches with you (yay for cup of noodles) and talking trash about work stuff! Hopefully we can get together again soon!!
3-Marty and Joe. The two COOLEST investigators in the world. These guys are good at their job because I molded them to be my dream investigator! HAHA Seriously though, Nicole should thank me.
4-Alan. Just cause he's hilarious and would do the most random stuff sometimes
5-Erin H and Erin B, Although both of them have moved on to bigger and better things I still miss Erin B peeking over the cubicle at me and Erin H.'s endless questions. Erin H if you are reading this call me the next time you go grocery shopping!! I hate shopping alone!
6-Robyn. Totally a sweet grandmotherly type. I loved that she encouraged me not to come back to work.
7-Marky Mark! Fellow Jazz fanatic.
8-Melissa from WAY back when. One of the only coworkers from FVtech I still talk to
9-Taylor, Topher and Chris B. These guys were hilarious. I still talk to Taylor every once in a while and if you need a good real estate agent GO TO HIM!!
10-Even though it pains me to say it.. I miss crazy ex boss Jen before she turned into crazy ex boss Jen. We were really good friends before she got married and I miss that. I wish her the best of luck on her pregnancy.

I think that in a perfect world all of my favorite coworkers and I would work at a big company all together and live happily ever after. HAHA One day right?

To the one I love

This is our 9th Valentine's day together. Nine. That seems like such a long time when you consider how old we are. I feel so blessed to have found the one I want to be with forever at such a young age. I know that we have good days and bad days and that just makes our relationship all the more special because we are willing to work to keep what we have. I've found everything I ever wanted in you. I know that I complain about you not being romantic sometimes, but I want you to know that, while I would love romance every once in a while, its not whats really important in our marriage. I love that you are a good dad to our girls and that they love you. I know that Kelcy will always be a daddy's girl. I love that you aren't afraid of hard work and you are going into the army knowing how hard it will be but also knowing its going to make our little family so much stronger for the future. I love the way we laugh at stupid movies and would rather hang out with each other than go clubbing or whatever else it is other young couples do. I love the way you kill spiders for me and laugh at how little they are. I love the way you support me no matter what I want to do. I love the way you play with the girls and make them laugh. I love that you frequently answer questions with 'your mom.' I love the way you are friends with everyone even if you dont like them. I love your willingness to help people push cars out of intersections or dig them out of snowbanks. I love that you let Kelcy watch Disney movies over and over and over again. I love that you let me go to bed early. I love the way your hugs make everything better. I love the way every once in a while you surprise me by making dinner or cleaning the front room. I love the way you let me decorate however I want even if its not your favorite. I love that you watch commentaries on DVD's. I love that you like learning new things. I love that you let me buy tv series on dvd even if you dont like the show. I love that you laugh at my obsession with tv shows from my childhood. I love that you frequently sing when coming in the door or getting out of the car. I guess most of all I just LOVE YOU! Happy Valentine's Day!

Goodbye to my best friend...

Today I had to say goodbye to my very best and closest non human friend. My sweet Spooky cat died today when I was at work. He got sick over the weekend and I was planning a trip to the vet tomorrow but I guess someone in heaven needed him more than me right now.He was a gift from Tracy for our 2 year anniversary when we were dating. He was an awesome cat. So patient and loving. When he had to have his leg removed even the vet techs were in awe of his gentle personality. He'd just come up and sit in your lap and purr as loud as he could. He was so amazing with Kelcy. He loved to sleep in weird places, like behind the toilet or in the sink, but he loved to sleep right next to my head on the pillow. His favorite toys were the ones you could whip around really fast. It was so awesome to see him trying to catch it with paws. He lost some spunk when he lost his leg but that just made him sweeter. He was my Spooky baby and I'm really going to miss him. tracy is being awesome right now. Not minding when I spontaneously burst into tears and even agreeing to letting me cremate him and keep him in an urn. The guy at the pet crematorium was so understanding. When he returned my call he was like how are you doing today? and I was like I'm doing ok. and he goes yeah. You've been better right? and I started crying again and was like yeah. He knew just the right things to say, which I guess is good for him considering his business is cremating pets. They even have a private room for you to say goodbye to your pets in. He decribed it as a funeral home for people but "less creepy." I'm not looking forward to taking him in and saying that final goodbye but it makes me feel better that he'll be with me always. Sorry to those of you that think its creepy. If I had a house I'd bury him in the backyard. I was planning on doing that about 8 years from now when we had a house and I thought he'd die, but he went a lot sooner than I'd even expected.
I truly believe animals are a gift from God that are made to be treasured and loved and I loved and treasured Spooky. I can only hope that one day we'll meet again on the other side.
