Random Thought Wednesday

I have a lot of my mind today, not all of it good. However I'll just share the funny parts.
When we lived in Arizona, I noticed something rather odd. Their closets are backwards. I know I know, how is a closet backwards? Ok well let me try to explain. When you are hanging up clothes in your closet the hook of the hanger generally faces AWAY from you, like towards the bar that you are hanging it on. When we were in Phoenix every closet I saw (granted it was only like... five maybe) was the OTHER way. The hook on the hanger would face TOWARDS you resulting in some very funky maneuvering to hang up your clothes. I have had issues hanging up clothes ever since then... coincidence? I think not.

My other random thought of the day is actually a song. A flashback song.

OH thats right! I still remember the dance to this song and when this song came on the radio yesterday I found myself dancing along in my car, I seem to do this a lot. If you ever see me on the freeway I bet I'm hilarious. Singing and dancing. Yeah I like to give people a show~

a combination

Kelcy is sick yet again. A combination of daycare and abnormally large tonsils has left my poor child struggling to breathe as she deals with Croup, Strep and an ear infection YET AGAIN! I talked to her doctor and she is recommending that her tonsils come out!

Amazing doctors who make me feel so much better about the whole situation and also health insurance that makes it affordable. Hooray.

Sometimes I think of the future

My SHOE future! HAHAHAH ok so I'm totally lame. Moving on! I blogged a while ago about how much I ADORE my new Reebok EasyTone shoes. My friend Julia and I have been walking twice a day at work around the building and trust me you can FEEL these shoes!! I can feel them from my hip flexors down to my shins, my calves burn as we speed walk and my thighs are definitely slimming down. Well today, I was thinking of when these shoes wear out what I want my next ones to look like and I came across a little something on the Reebok website... CUSTOM EASYTONES!!! I played around with it and decided these are TOTALLY my next pair of EasyTones!

Helium

Thats right. Its official. Last night was the first time I ever got Helium to work to alter my voice. I've tried it before but it never worked. My awesome friends gave me 5 helium balloons for my birthday. Not the crappy kind, the mylar kind. So somehow, even though my birthday was over a month ago, they were still floating. Last night I put a small hole in one and Tracy entertained the girls for a few minutes with his voice until I thought we'd used all the balloons up. Then Kelcy comes running out of her room with one that we'd forgotten. They went to bed and after Glee was over Tracy put a hole in it an made me try it. He was so excited. He referred to it as my Helium Virginity. I started trying to suck in the helium but the balloon wasn't very full and the hole was really small so he pushed it in my face. The very first words of my new helium voice were:
"Why would you do that?" immediately followed by laughter that slowly went to a normal octave again.
So then I was intrigued. Would it work again?
Yes by jove it did!
My next phrase was
"Here kitty kitty" I dont know why Tracy wanted me to say that but it was pretty funny.
So the question is...
what is your favorite thing to say while on helium!

Things I love

We went to Dairy Queen last night and had amazing ice cream with the girls. The best part was when Kelcy and I did an impromptu duet of Lady Antebellums "Need You Now" It was super cute.

Things I hate

People who talk on their cell phones in a public restroom. Seriously. When did this become ok?? Its one thing if you are at home and can be discreet and not flush the toilet or something (which by the way I still dont do cause I think its gross,theres just something about doing your business while on the phone that squicks me out, however it is more acceptable than a public restroom)but to do it while at work is just nasty. Seriously. It makes things uncomfortable for everyone, including i'm sure the person on the other end of the phone who has to hear not only you, but everyone else that goes into the bathroom as well. Bathrooms echo people!

Things I hate ( a day late)

Not having internet at my house. Seriously. I'm starting to go insane but am boycotting comcast and qwest because of past and current issues I have with both companies. We bought an antenna for our tv and just watch local channels now, but internet is a different matter. Our neighbor and friend is going to buy a powerful router so we can use his crazy fast internet soon, which is so awesome, but at the same time.. I miss facebook, and you know.. the rest of the whole internet. except the porn. so really I guess I only miss 1% of the internet!
